Jeffrey R. Kiesel

Chief Executive Officer

Jeffrey R. Kiesel from the Restaurant Technologies Executive Team

With more than 20 years of senior leadership experience, Jeff Kiesel is both the head and heart of RTI. As a savvy business leader he helped the company expand into new regional service locations and evolve the Total Oil Management™ portal to meet the ever-changing needs of our foodservice customers. Jeff joined RTI in 2005 as CEO and stands by the RTI set of values we call the 5 C’s – customer, character, commitment, courage and community. These values ensure that we put our customers and our community first – never being afraid to reach out to help, lead by example and always put our best foot forward. As part of this commitment, Jeff helps drive the RTI Cares program and is Chairman of the RTI Educational Foundation. He also serves on the Nixon Medical Board of Directors, the SALO Advisory Board and has been a past board advisor to Omni Cable.

Jeff has held previous positions as CEO, president and senior vice president in both large and small companies across multiple industries, and has a successful track record of driving organic growth and profitability. Past leadership experience includes 18 years with GE and GE Capital, and C-level positions with G&K Services and VIZTA3D Inc.

Jeff earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Williams College, Williamstown, MA and an MBA from the Krannert School of Management, Purdue University. He is also an Insanity Workout and P90X/P90X2 loyalist, so you can find him crunching and punching most days of the week.

Robert E. Weil

Chief Financial Officer

Robert E. Weil from the Restaurant Technologies Executive Team

As chief financial officer, Bob Weil contributes significantly to the strategic direction of RTI as we continue to grow. With more than 20 years of finance and management experience, Bob brings perspective from the fast-paced world of air transport, having held financial management positions with MAIR Holdings (the parent company of Mesaba and Big Sky Airlines) and Northwest Airlines (now Delta). As a member of the RTI team since 2007, Bob's key accomplishments include recapitalizing the company's new debt and equity financings in 2009 as well as executing the sale to EQT Partners in 2011.

Bob is a graduate of Northwestern University with a bachelor's degree in economics and holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Business. An avid cyclist, Bob bikes to work and completed the 100-mile-long Century Ride for Tour de Cure in 2012.

Sara Sampson

Vice President, Sales

Sara Sampson from the Restaurant Technologies Executive Team

Sara has a proven track record of generating sustainable revenue and profit growth in rapidly changing environments like RTI. Her experience comes from 20-plus years of high-level sales and marketing leadership for dynamic corporations such as Lifetouch Portrait Studios, Carlson Companies and Holiday Inns Worldwide.

At RTI, Sara manages the overall sales strategy, looking for ways to expand RTI's presence and value with customers nationwide. As we continue to build our business, Sara is at the forefront of leading our sales team, both creatively and through process development.

She holds a bachelor's degree in business from the Henry B. Tippie College at the University of Iowa and completed the Minnesota Executive Program at the University of Minnesota. To spur her creative ideas, Sara is a member of a Gourmet Club and entertains friends on the weekend by experimenting with different cuisines.

Mark Copeland

Vice President, Marketing & Chief Marketing Officer

Mark Copeland from the Restaurant Technologies Executive Team

Mark leads marketing strategy and operations for RTI: getting the message out about the value and benefits of RTI’s innovative solutions to make kitchens smarter.

Prior to joining RTI, Mark had 25 years of marketing and sales experience in both Europe and the USA, serving as Vice President of Marketing for Ecolab in the US, Metro Group in the UK, and Senior Director of Marketing for SC Johnson in both Europe and the USA.

Mark holds a very relevant degree in Medieval History from the University of Cambridge in the UK. When the Mississippi is not actually frozen you can find him on the river most early mornings with the Minneapolis Rowing Club.

Richard K. Copeland

Vice President, Human Resources

Richard K. Copeland from the Restaurant Technologies Executive Team

Since joining RTI in 2005 as VP of human resources, Rick Copeland's management objective has been to discover and nurture the best people for RTI, and for our customers – whether out in the field or back in the office. His role includes managing our competitive benefits package, handling job openings and descriptions, career training and counseling and helping employees balance work/life responsibilities.

With more than 20 years of HR experience and recruiting for technical and service-oriented businesses, Rick is the ideal man for the job. His past experience includes human resources roles at G&K Services, Inc., BroadRiver Communications and Honeywell International.

Rick holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Christopher Newport University and a MS in Human Resource Development from Villanova University. He can often be found rockin' out at '80s and '90s live music concerts. He's already attended more than 1,000 concerts in more than 25 states and 3 different countries!

Jason Cocco

Vice President, Business and Product Development

Jason Cocco from the Restaurant Technologies Executive Team

Creating value for foodservices organizations is the objective that has driven Jason Cocco since joining RTI in 2011. His role encompasses identifying untapped market opportunities in new and current verticals and geographic markets and launching differentiated offerings to solve our customer's needs. He manages the new product development process, executes M&A opportunities and works cross-functionally to cultivate innovation across RTI. Jason develops strong ties with our business partners and works closely with the engineering and development teams to evolve the RTI TOM solution as industry needs change and grow.

Jason brings more than 15 years of product development and general management experience within the consumer goods, high-tech and retail industries from past leadership positions with The Nielsen Company, Accenture and Procter & Gamble.

He has a bachelor's degree in environmental engineering technology from the University of Dayton and an MBA from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business. Outside of work, you can find Jason in the kitchen rolling pasta and uncorking a bottle of his own Viognier wine.

Bradley J. Schoenbauer

Vice President, Engineering & Quality Assurance

Bradly J. Schoenbauer from the Restaurant Technologies Executive Team

One of the original founders of RTI, Brad now serves as vice president of engineering & quality assurance and leads the RTI team that is immersed in product design and engineering. His role includes staying on top of oil management technology and creating operational efficiencies for RTI and our customers. In addition, Brad makes sure our customers receive the highest quality oil through our quality assurance program. He also oversees the RTI fleet of 250+ vehicles and the RTI team that routes more than 30,000 oil deliveries per month.

Prior to RTI, in his role with MVE's New Product Development group, Brad developed the automated control system for one of the first Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) alternative fueling stations, which powered the entire municipal bus fleet for El Paso, Texas. Brad also spent seven years as a flight controller in the Mission Control Center for NASA's Space Shuttle program, rising to the top position in the Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) group, participating in the high-stress launch and landing phases of the Shuttle missions.

Brad holds a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Notre Dame and serves on the regional Board of Directors for the Mayo Clinic Health System. When Brad isn't engineering something new for RTI, you might just find him scoring a hole in one on a golf course in Ireland. Luck of the Irish or perfectly calculated aerodynamics; we'll never know.

Lisa Merryfield

Vice President, McDonald's Business Unit

Lisa Mayfield from the Restaurant Technologies Executive Team

Lisa Merryfield was one of the original founders of RTI in 1997. With this tenure and loyalty as her background, she has been the key executive assigned to McDonald's since inception. In addition to developing the strategy to grow and maintain RTI's core business with McDonald's, Lisa's focused on understanding where the top quick service restaurant brand is headed in the future to identify new business opportunities where RTI can add value and expand its partnership with the McDonald's System.

Prior to taking the founder's leap, Lisa gained national chain and franchisee community experience as the McDonald's account manager for MVE, Inc. and worked for The Limited Corporation. She holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire and in her free time, she loves to travel and try the latest culinary trends.

Robert D. Brooks

Vice President of Operations

Robert Brooks from the Restaurant Technologies Executive Team

Robert Brooks has 30 years of operations and supply chain experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from Missouri State University and a Masters of Business Administration from Bethel University.

Prior to joining RTI, Robert spent time in the healthcare industry, where he served as the Senior Vice President of Field Operations for Universal Hospital Services and most recently as Vice President of Rental Operations, North America for Arjohuntleigh. He was responsible for the oversight and management of all field based operations. As a member of the executive management team, he collaborated with others to develop and execute business growth through focused actions to drive financial performance, capital management, investor relations, supply chain controls and M&A strategies.

Prior to his healthcare experience, he spent over 20 years in food and dairy manufacturing with both public and privately owned organizations holding roles of progressive responsibility.

In his spare time you can find him digging for vinyl treasures to add or upgrade his collection of over 1000 LP’s that include the artists; Garth Brooks, Led Zeppelin, Rush and Frank Sinatra.
