Convenient, New Oil Management Option for Memphis-Area Foodservice Industry
New location serving portions of Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi and Missouri allows local foodservice establishments to reduce oil usage and improve food quality through proper filtration
MINNEAPOLIS – July 9, 2013 – Foodservice oil management innovator Restaurant Technologies, Inc. (RTI) has expanded its frying-oil delivery, management, removal and equipment service capability with the addition of a Memphis, Tenn. depot. The company opened a Nashville, Tenn. location in 2006.
The new oil depot supports 65 current customers located throughout a region covering Western Tennessee, Eastern Arkansas, Northern Mississippi and Southern Missouri. It will also supply and service more than 80 new installations coming online in the region during the next four months. The depot serves as a central services center. Each location installs equipment, and monitors and delivers fresh oil. It also removes used oil for RTI customers, and provides ongoing consultation, training and maintenance.
RTI was recently named a CIO 100 honoree by CIO magazine for its Field Service Automation Technology used at depots. The technology allows RTI drivers to use mobile phones to monitor customers’ oil and equipment needs and update driving routes in real time for the most efficient service.
A grand opening for the 10-employee facility, which expands RTI’s Tennessee-based staff to 19, is scheduled for today, July 9. The depot is located at 3930 Willow Lake Blvd. in Memphis.
Utilizing 41 regional depots based in U.S. metropolitan markets, RTI delivers new oil in metered, bulk quantities and removes waste oil. The company has added four regional locations over the past 12 months to optimize responsiveness and improve the cost efficiency of stocking and managing frying oil for customers. The depots facilitate restaurant sustainability initiatives through oil credit programs as well, collecting used oil for recycling into biodiesel.
