During this difficult time, Restaurant Technologies remains committed to upholding its core principles as we navigate through the impact of COVID-19 together: Customer, Character, Commitment, Courage and Community. There is nothing more important to us than ensuring the safety of our employees and customers, and we will continue to take all steps necessary to do just that.
As the COVID-19 situation rapidly evolves, so will our actions, preparations and contingency plans. We have implemented additional measures to enhance our contingency plans already in place, including creating a cross-functional task force that meets daily to develop and execute strategies as the global and local impact of the virus continues to unfold. We are working with all our suppliers to understand how they intend to address the effects of the virus on their business and identifying areas of risk that need to be monitored and mitigated. At this point, there is no impact to our oil supply or products/equipment supply, nor do we have indication of any future impact, but we are actively tracking this.
We are responding to our customers’ needs for oil delivery and removal, AutoMist detergent supply, and systems servicing with increased sanitation and reduced person-to-person interaction practices to protect our community of employees and customers. For example, to limit potential exposure and/or transmission, our delivery drivers and technicians will no longer be entering customer buildings unless it is necessary to do so in order to make a delivery, remove waste oil or perform required repair work. In areas where it is possible, we remain committed to completing oil and AutoMist systems installations and working with our customers and teams to do so safely. We are also tracking government restrictions on activities and business to ensure our compliance and monitoring areas where the virus has had a significant impact where, for the protection of customers and employees, we may suspend service temporarily.
Restaurant Technologies also is working to control and mitigate any potential impact of the virus on our work force in the field, at the depots, and at our corporate office. We are monitoring the latest information, implementing social distancing and providing details, guidelines and instructions to our employees regarding health practices, ways to reduce transmission, work-related travel, and how to handle an infection or exposure. We have put prevention and mitigation plans in place to lessen any impact of the virus on our business and to ensure that we can maintain our core business deliverables to the fullest extent possible. Like all companies, we want to be as prepared as possible and react to any situation with the appropriate level response.
We will continue to do all we can to navigate this difficult time to support and protect our valued partnerships and food service community. Please contact us on any specific area/items of concern with relation to your company.
