MINNEAPOLIS – July 1, 2015 – Restaurant Technologies Inc. (RTI) is pleased to announce an exciting new Jack in the Box partnership with the Envision Foods Franchise Group. Envision Foods owns and operates 124 restaurants across California, Illinois and Missouri. The multi-phase installation approach includes 45 RTI Oil Management systems immediately in California followed by 72 Fryer Filtration Monitoring systems in the Missouri & Illinois markets installing later in 2015. With this partnership, RTI’s Total Oil Management system will be in 100% of Envision Foods serviceable locations.
From monster tacos to seasoned curly fries, high-quality fried food is a staple of the Jack in the Box brand, with fryer oil being a key ingredient in numerous menu items. It’s known that developing and following proper frying oil filtration practices improves food quality, extends the life of oil and minimizes the impact contaminants can have on the color, taste and smell of fried foods. However, there’s no guarantee that these filtration practices are occurring without an oil management and monitoring technology system. No guarantee leaves room for risk of food-quality inconsistencies or using more cooking oil than necessary.
The RTI system and fryer filtration monitoring technology gives Envision Foods visibility into their oil management compliance and usage. Through the implementation and monitoring of standard operating procedures, Envision Foods was able to improve filtration compliance by 116 percent, which proved to mean more than just a number:
“Prior to RTI, I thought our compliance performance was good. Through RTI’s monitoring technology and working with the RTI team, we saw our compliance go from 44 percent to 95 percent. We also saw a more consistent product coming out of the fryers, and quality is something we’ll never neglect,” said Santiago Guadiana, director of operations at Envision Foods
The RTI system comes with all of the hardware, software, installation, training and support services to easily automate oil management. It enables employees to fill, dispose of and filter fryer oil with the push of a button.
