Restaurant Technologies Grows Its Safer, Smarter Deli Operations with New Regional Customers

Leader in automated oil disposal and handling adds 67 installs to its grocery customer base

MINNEAPOLIS – February 1, 2017 – Grocerant continues to be a strong trend in the food service industry as more and more consumers choose grocers over dine-in restaurants for their prepared-food purchases. This trend is reason enough for deli operators to want to simplify their operations and ensure a consistent quality food product to keep up with the demand of their time-starved consumers. Continuing to grow within the grocerant industry, Restaurant Technologies is pleased to announce partnerships with three regional grocery operators–Gelson’s, Pyramid Foods and Tony’s Markets. The 67 locations join over 2,300 existing Restaurant Technologies grocery customers.

The new partnerships are located primarily in the West and Midwest areas of the United States–Gelson’s in Southern California, Pyramid Foods across Southern Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma and Tony’s Markets in Chicago, IL. They are joining some the largest grocery-store operators, including Wegmans, Albertsons, Stater Bros. Southeastern Grocers, Hy-Vee and Tops Friendly Markets, who have all upgraded their back-of-house equipment with an automated oil management solution to optimize the customer experience and gain a competitive advantage.

Restaurant Technologies’ continuous growth within the industry is evidence of 2017 being the year of the smarter kitchen with operators investing in smart, labor-saving technology to do non-value-add tasks while maintaining food quality.
