HONOREES RECEIVE AWARD DURING CIO 100 SYMPOSIUM & AWARDS CEREMONY

September 14, 2012—IDG’s CIO magazine announces Restaurant Technologies, Inc as a recipient of the 2012 CIO 100 Award. The 25th annual award program recognizes organizations around the world that exemplify the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in Information Technology (IT).

“For 25 years now, the CIO 100 awards have honored the innovative use of technology to deliver genuine business value,” said Maryfran Johnson, Editor in Chief of CIO magazine & events. “Our 2012 winners are an outstanding example of the transformative power of IT to drive everything from revenue growth to competitive advantage.”

“Restaurant Technologies’ new Customer Centric Reporting System is a game changer”, states IT Director, Randy Witt.  “Restaurant Technologies is able to provide their customers with critical information that was not previously available. Touted as a “capacity builder” the system will also help Restaurant Technologies scale and grow the business without increasing headcount as it improves the efficiency of the entire organization.  Combining an enterprise data warehouse, a reporting engine, and, in some instances, mobility, we are seeing both Restaurant Technologies and Customers improve their operational effectiveness through enhanced visibility of operational and equipment performance”.

Efficiencies for Restaurant Technologies have been gained via the data gathering process necessary to produce and review key performance metrics and provide insight into development opportunities for their Customers.  Prior to Customer Centric Reporting, it often took over a week to manually assemble information, involving many people across the organization using multiple sources for information gathering. Today, the information is available in minutes from the data warehouse, which provides Account managers with scorecards and allows them to gain insight into the customer’s total operation before walking in the door. This information is combined with regular account reviews to further develop the partnership and add value for the customer. As one customer stated “You know more about my operation than I do”.

“Customer Centric Reporting allows us to utilize data along with our expertise to provide performance improvement opportunities and operational efficiencies, as well as increase customer sales.  These reports demonstrate our value and strengthen customer partnerships,” states Sara Sampson, Vice President Sales and Marketing.
Executives from the winning companies were recognized at the CIO 100 Symposium & Awards Ceremony, held Aug. 21st at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.

About the CIO 100

The recipients of this year’s CIO 100 award were selected through a three-step process. First, companies filled out an online application form detailing their innovative IT and business initiatives. Next, a team of judges reviewed the applications in depth, looking for unique practices and substantial results. Finally, CIO editors reviewed the judges’ recommendations and voted on the final 100.

Complete coverage of the 2012 CIO 100 awards will be online at www.cio.com and found in the August 1st issue of CIOmagazine.
