The company recently earned the ISCC for its continued efforts in sustainability
MINNEAPOLIS (November 3, 2025) – Restaurant Technologies has earned three International Sustainability and Carbon Certifications (ISCC): ISCC PLUS, ISCC EU, and ISCC CORSIA, recognizing the sustainability and full traceability of the company’s used cooking oil (UCO) recycling program and its conversion into renewable fuels. The ISCC system, which supports the principles of the United Nations Global Compact, confirms that Restaurant Technologies’ UCO supply chain meets the highest standards for renewable feedstocks, greenhouse-gas reductions, and circular economy practices.
Restaurant Technologies’ ISCC PLUS certification verifies global traceability of its UCO as a renewable feedstock; ISCC EU confirms compliance with the European Union’s higher renewable fuel standards; and ISCC CORSIA, the most rigorous, ensures alignment with the International Civil Aviation Organization’s requirements for sustainable aviation fuel. Together, these certifications demonstrate that every gallon of renewable fuel produced from Restaurant Technologies’ used cooking oil can be traced, verified, and credited as a sustainable, low-carbon alternative to fossil fuels.
“Restaurant Technologies is driven by our values to build a better world around us,” said Diana Geseking, Chief Legal Officer and Chair of the ESG Committee at Restaurant Technologies. “This certification highlights our continued commitment to sustainability and supports our goal of setting new standards as a leader in the industry.”
In 2024, Restaurant Technologies recycled more than 363 million pounds of used cooking oil into renewable fuels through partnerships with renewable energy leaders such as Phillips 66 and Chevron REG. These UCO-based renewable fuels cut tailpipe emissions by more than 70 percent compared with conventional fuels while avoiding the environmental costs of growing new oil crops and conserving both water and land. In addition to these downstream benefits, the company’s closed-loop delivery system also eliminates disposable containers, which prevented nearly 30 million pounds of trash and 9 million cubic feet of landfill waste last year. Restaurant Technologies expects to recycle nearly 400 million pounds of used cooking oil by the end of 2025.
Restaurant Technologies remains deeply committed to creating a healthier and cleaner planet. Achieving ISCC certification highlights the company’s leadership in sustainability and strengthens its dedication to advancing environmental, social, and governance standards.
