San Deigo, CA, May, 2018 –The Association for Talent Development (ATD), honored Restaurant Technologies with an Excellence in Practice Award for its practice, PrimeStart in the onboarding category.
ATD’s Excellence in Practice program recognizes organizations for results achieved using practices and solutions from the entire scope of talent development. Awards are presented to organizations whose talent development efforts have delivered measurable and sustained business results.
All new employees joining Restaurant Technologies have to complete the PrimeStart process, which is a weekly onboarding and initial job training program that lasts anywhere between three and 12 weeks, depending on the role. Each role has a customized onboarding plan that walks them through every day of their first several weeks with the company. The process was designed to increase engagement for new hires, reduce employee turnover and create a more disciplined process for leaders to follow.
ATD received more than 200 submissions from organizations in 12 countries. Restaurant Technologies was one of 34 organizations to receive awards. Excellence in Practice categories include: career development, coaching and mentoring, change management, diversity and inclusion, improving soft skills, integrated talent management, knowledge management, learning and development, learning technologies, management/leadership development, managing the learning function, onboarding, performance improvement, sales enablement, and succession planning.
Restaurant Technologies, along with other award winners, were honored May 8 at an awards ceremony held during ATD’s International Conference & Exposition in San Diego, CA. Visit www.td.org for more information about the conference and awards programs.
